The Canon EOS 30D is the replacement for the highly acclaimed Canon EOS 20D. Offering new EOS technologies and allowing user an unbeatable digital photo experience. This EOS 30D model also boasts a variety of newly developed features that include the Canons DIGIC II Processor & 8.2 MP CMOS sensor.
The Canon EOS 30D model offers enhanced features like the new 2.5 inch LCD viewer screen, 'true spot' metering, the newly designed shutter mechanism & all the usual Canon 'picture preset' styles which are designed for improved camera operation. All of which packaged into an improved more solid, magnesium chassis. The inbuilt flash unit has been upgraded to sync with the 100 thousand shutter cycle, seen by many as an ever more important feature in digital photography.
The 30D also has an improved clear vivid 2.5 inch LCD viewer. Based on monitors from Canon's professional EOS range, the 30D viewer not only displays in depth settings info, but can also be viewed at greater angles up to 170 degrees. The fuller featured shot information provides a image histogram (RGB) and also shows the user the AF frame used. The 30D zoom/magnification is faster and smoother than ever, allowing zoom to the focal point, instead of the center of the image, to check critical focus & exposure. Canon have made it easy to swiftly jump in image intervals up to 100. The menu feature can be accessed at the press of a single button & features a larger text designed to make reading easier for the user. With easy setting up of custom functions, simple folder organizing and the swift setting of white balance, the EOS 30D is designed so that you'll never miss that crucial shot again!
The EOS 30D features Canon's highly acclaimed CMOS sensor, with a larger 6.4µm2 pixels for wide dynamic range whilst controlling image noise. Random noise is also minimized by the very impressive internal 'noise elimination' technology. The low pass filter found in front of the sensor helps to control and reduce incorrect color effects, whilst the infrared filter suppresses any 'red fringing' often a result of sensor foggin
