To begin with, Nikon's new D70S boasts a 6.1 megapixel DX format CCD which yields 3,008 x 2,000-pixel images, suitable for producing larger prints, or for creative cropping to bring out image details. With an impressive startup time of 0.2 seconds, the D70S is ready to shoot when you are. Images are processed and recorded extremely fast & previewed images show on the cameras bright LCD viewer almost instantly

With the Nikon D70S, fast action sport photography is made simple. It has the ability to shoot a quick 3 fps (frames per second) for a continuous burst up to 143 images, so you'll never miss that perfect shot. It also boasts shutter speeds that range from 30 seconds to 1/8000 second (up to a 1/500 second flash sync speed) so again, you'll be sure to have the flexibility you need to capture the action exactly as and when you want. Best of all, the D70S adopts the Nikon F lens mount for simple compatibility with the large comprehensive range of top quality AF & AF-S Nikkor lenses, which have long been a favorite of professionals globally.
